Q1 : What are the power requirements to operate the skyla HB1 analyzer?

The analyzer requires 100-240 volts AC, 50-60 Hz or 12 volts DC, 5.0 A.

Q2 : Is surge protection required for the skyla HB1 analyzer?

The analyzer should not share the same circuit with other high-current devices. A surge protector is recommended to protect the analyzer.

Q3 : What is the shelf life of the skyla HB1 reagent discs?

The reagent discs can be stored for up to 14 months at 2 - 8°C

Q4 : Can the skyla HB1 expired reagent discs be used?

No, the result of the test will be unreliable.

Q5 : How long can the skyla HB1 reagent disc be used after removing from the foil pouch?

After opening the pouch, the disc should be used within 20 minutes. Do not place the disc back in the refrigerator for later use.

Q6 : What is the skyla HB1 sample volume required for a test?

200μL for a test. A fixed volume 200ul pipette is included in the package.

Q7  What types of samples can be used with the skyla HB1 analyzer?

The sample can be whole blood, plasma or serum.
